Welcome Baby Ruby // Newborn Photography

You might remember earlier in the summer when I shared photos of my good friend Megan's maternity shoot. We also turned it into a little mini family shoot and with her husband Ralo and sweet son Jude. When Jude was born, I shot his very first newborn photos in the hospital on the day he was born. I was in Haiti when Ruby was born and was so sad to miss that moment, but as soon as I got back to Nashville I headed home to Arkansas the next morning to meet baby Ruby. I snapped these photos at home and love how sweet and tender they all are. The biggest congratulations to you and Ralo, Megan! Welcome to the world, Baby Ruby. We are so glad you're here!

Audrey Assad // Artist Shoot

A little bit ago I snapped these head shots of Audrey Assad in the WELD studio. Audrey is the daughter of a Syrian refugee and also an insanely talented Christian music singer/songwriter. Her songs have been on iTunes charts and was awarded the iTunes Christian Breakthrough Album of the Year in 2010. She just released her latest album, Inheritance, a beautiful collection of songs that she calls "a soundtrack for prayer". Not only is she an incredible artist, but she's also a wife, a new mom, and somehow finds time to partner with humanitarian organizations like World Relief. I'm truly inspired by Audrey's talent and life, and I’ve loved sharing a workspace with her at WELD

I'm always looking for new faces to shoot and pals to meet, so if you're an artist needed new head shots or photos for an album or EP, shoot me a line at hello@kelseycherry.com!

Meet Madeleine Blog

A while ago actually Marlena reached out about shooting for her toddler daughter's blog Meet Madeleine while she was visiting Nashville, but the first time she reached out I was booked! I caught up with them on their last trip to Nashville and snapped these photos of cutie Madeleine. Marlena is originally from Nashville but now calls Houston home with her husband and sweet Maddie. Marlena uses the blog to collaborate with kids' clothing brands and is using any income from partnerships to save up for Maddie's education in the future. They feature the cutest little girl clothes, and I love following along on Instagram because Maddie radiates joy and really lights up my feed!
