Haiti Design Co + FORBES

One of my favorite gals Chandler Busby who is the badass boss lady of Haiti Design Co was featured in an article in FORBES. I  think I am biased because luckily I have been able to spend a lot of time with her + her husband Josh in Haiti.. But she could not be a more inspiring / creative / and a kind human. It's been a joy to be apart of the brand in a small way... and I'm so pumped to see all the growth that is going to happen in the coming years. Chandler here's to you sweet girl.. The world is better because your here. I can not wait to get back to Haiti to drink Rum punch + do Yoga via rooftop with YA! You are a QUEEN.

Read the article HERE.  And check out Haiti design co HERE. I am SO proud of you.

HAITI DESIGN CO-OP BELIEVES THE MARRIAGE OF DESIGN AND PURPOSE CAN HAVE

A LONG LASTING RIPPLE AFFECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.

"Haiti Design Co-op was founded in 2014 with the goal to bring about sustainable development through design, training, and job creation. Our mantra around the workshop is "MEN ANPIL, CHAY PA LOU". This is an old Haitian proverb meaning "MANY HANDS MAKE THE LOAD LIGHT". We believe that there is commonality between the designer, maker, and consumer, and that when working together we can help lighten each other's load and bring about lasting positive impact. "

We must demand ethical fashion. We must use our purchasing power to support fair treatment and dignity of the hands creating the clothes we put on our bodies. We must use our purchasing power to demand products that protect our environment. If we as a society do not care about respecting the people behind our products and this one world we live in, then who will?
